Whether you are available to help gather items for a silent auction, work at one of our monthly afternoon bingos, help write grants or volunteer at our casino (once every 18-24 months), your time will have a direct effect helping ENW continue our work. Join us in raising funds for our various programs and services, which are focused on helping adults and children experiencing poverty and homelessness. We are looking for 25 volunteers to get involved in our Casino nights. Monday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 1, 2019 Starlight Casino, West Edmonton. Charitable gaming in Alberta includes casino, raffle, bingo and pull ticket events. $347 million was earned by charitable organizations in 2018-2019. Alberta’s charitable gaming model. ENW currently receives no sustainable (budgeted) funding from municipal or provincial governments. Therefore, ENW is reliant on fundraising efforts. Volunteers who can help with fundraising events can have a large impact at ENW by helping to raise the much-needed operational funds. There are many ways you can make a difference:
*Help gather items for our annual Silent Auction
*Help develop and implement fundraising campaigns
*Help by sourcing (researching) new funding opportunities
*Help by drafting grants on behalf of ENW
*Work at our monthly bingo
*Work at our bi-annual casinoBingo
Quil ceda casino jobs. ENW has a monthly bingo held during the afternoon. Volunteers are needed from approximately 11am to 3:30pm. Each month 16 volunteers are needed. The funds raised from monthly bingos goes toward ENW providing crime prevention programs and services at the community level. Currently, ENW bingos are held at the Kensington Bingo Hall. This year the Bike Edmonton casino dates are Wednesday, December 30 and Thursday, December 31, 2020. We are at the Starlight Casino, 8882 170 St NW in West Edmonton Mall. You do not need any experience or knowledge of casinos or games to volunteer at Bike Edmonton’s casino event. We have professional advisers to provide training and guidance in every aspect of our volunteer roles. Training will happen at the start of your shift. Bike Edmonton uses licensed charitable casino events to raise funds for our activities. Once every two years, we staff a casino with volunteers for two days, which generally raises over $70,000 to support our organization. This year, following Covid-19 restrictions, we will have fewer volunteers in the casino. Volunteering during these holiday dates is equivalent to receiving an extra ~$17,500.Casino Volunteers Edmonton Alberta
By volunteering at this event, your 4-8 hour shift is equivalent to donation of thousands of dollars to Bike Edmonton. Although there is a chance that the casinos will close again because of Covid-19, we move forward in hope as always.
